Plan means that we must crystallize our thoughts on paper first, before we move to the execution part. The successful film directors do the same
by working on the script. The architect does the same by first working on the drawings.
Clear thought helps you to reach your destination provided you know what the destination is.
Remember the story of Alice in the wonderland
There’s a good lesson in the classic story, Alice in Wonderland. Do you remember this exchange between Alice and the Cheshire cat?
Alice: “Would you tell me please, which way I should go from here?”
CC: “That depends a good deal on where you want to go.”
Alice: “I don’t much care where.”
CC: “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go.”
Alice: “. . .so long as I get somewhere.”
CC: “Oh, you’re sure to do that, if you only walk long enough.”
Unlike Alice, I believe that most people do care where they’re going. So why don’t we use more road maps?
How true. When we don't know where we are going, any road will take us there.
Supposing you have the football eleven enthusiastically ready to play the game, all charged up, and then someone took the goal post away.
What would happen to the game?
There is nothing left. How do you keep score? How do you know you have arrived?
Enthusiasm without direction is like wildfire and leads to frustration. Goals give a sense of direction .
Would you sit in a train or a plane without knowing where it was going?
The obvious answer is no. Then why do people go through life without having any goals?
